The Janet Price Opera Prize was established in 2017 to support the advanced training of young opera singers. The criteria of the annual competition reflect Janet’s long-held belief in the Italian bel canto tradition as a fundamental component in the art of operatic performance and awards the singer who can best convey dramatic nuance through language.
