Award-winning saxophonist and composer Josephine Davies brings her dynamic ensemble Satori to RWCMD to celebrate the launch of ‘Weatherwards’, their fourth album on Whirlwind Recordings. The music is inspired by Josephine’s Nordic roots in the Shetland Islands and beautifully weaves together the band’s contemporary jazz background with a hauntingly evocative folk influence.In addition to Satori’s tours around the UK and Europe, Josephine also runs her own jazz orchestra, The Ensō Ensemble, which will soon release their debut album ‘The Celtic Wheel of the Year Suite’ on Ubuntu Records.
