1984 - Yes, a dystopian novel by George Orwell, but also the year that Nik Kershaw was the UK’s biggest selling artist, languishing for some 62 weeks in the top 40 singles chart (no, really - 62 weeks - some singles overlapped) and releasing 2 platinum albums, Human Racing and The Riddle.
