UPROAR’s ensemble of 16 virtuoso soloists continues to push the boundaries of new music from Wales with three new commissions from David John Roche, Litang Shao and RWCMD graduate Ashley John Long. The Chamber Concerto by Ligeti (ground-breaking Hungarian-Austrian composer widely recognised for his music in the film 2001: A Space Odyssey) gets its Welsh Premiere as does Hrim, Anna Thorvaldsdottir’s potent evocation of elemental power.
